Football-centric Short Films by Jacen Tan - “Homeground” and “Tak Giu” (“Kick Ball”)
“Homeground” is a love letter to playing spaces we call home, and a tribute to Singapore's weekend warriors. This 23-minuter documentary film is directed by Jacen Tan (director of short film, “Tak Giu” - shown below!) at hosaywood.com, with this being a Winner of POSB StoryTellers Grant 2015.
"Jacen, an avid football fan, saw Singapore as a football nation where even the tiniest of spaces give way to his love of the sport. He dedicated this film to tell the stories of the different spaces where Singaporeans play football - pitches, basketball courts, void decks and many other spaces, zooming in on each of the players, sharing their experiences, why they love the sport and their homeground."
